comicscavern:

So you’re kinda on the fence about this new Microsoft Kinect, the much-cooler name for what was once Project: Natal, and that’s all about aping the Wii’s best features while simulatenously selling new, Kinect-ready XBOX 360 models to the masses?

Yeah, there’s a lot to be skeptical of, to be sure.

But dude.  Check this out.  I mean - I don’t love the idea of shelling out $300 bucks to the most unreliable company ever (anyone remember the first 4 years the XBOX 360 was on the market?  I don’t know about you, I had two red ring of death models that were a nightmare to return), but check this out!

Imagine that’s you, in front of the TV, getting your “vhwing” on as you face off against Vadar?  Come ahhhn, you know you wanna!

Kinect looks quite promising. Even if it first begins as just pushing buttons, it continues to transform the idea of wireless gaming. The thing that I am not looking forward to is the depths of the games. After everyone gets over the concept, will the games really break through in terms of entertainment? Let’s hope!

Side Note: I enjoyed the E3 conference because the only people playing with the Kinect were woman and Ron, the coloured man. Loving the audience change!
