The Skyward Sword
Oh! A new Zelda game coming out. I am pumped. The new Zelda game is an updated manoeuvring system, in which Link (although still right-handed) will copy your exact actions. If you swing from right to left, as will he. Not left to right. Whoa!  It seems that as the years pass, we become more closely related to our video games. Using this game as an example, it’s as though we’re...

Zan-datsu !
Wow! E3 made me squeal when they released the information for Metal gear Solid: Rising . I am going to be assuming the role of Raiden and going through my missions slicing and dicing. Matsuyama notes that although stealth is a crucial part of the game, we will have the oppurtunity to freely slice anyone we please. At E3 they were showing clips, and Raiden was able to choose how to slice a...

Soccer
I decided to go with Korea Republic (??!) due to the fact that Soccer freaks me out but I want to be in with it. If I ever watch soccer games I feel like crying because the suspense of a near-goal is too exhilarating for a being such as myself. I check the scores afterward though. P.s. I just realized that I must be living in a Portuguese neighbourhood because I have never seen so many Portuguese...

I am sitting at my Starbucks
and I just realized that when I order drinks as my partner beverage they are usually $5+, but when I order drinks for outside of work that I actually pay for, they are always under $2. Yay for being recession friendly!

HI MY NAME IS MAGGY AND I DON'T COME TO SCHOOL
I leave Lydia to explain why our newsletter isn’t done, and to struggle through math alone. CUTE, RIGHT?

New favourite:
Tall Triple White Chocolate Mocha Americano Try it out if you like a strong energy burst! If not, I would still suggest the drink without the triple shot of espresso. Remove the term, and you will only have one shot (the amount in the recipe) rather than three. On a side note: I have come to question who in their right mind enjoys Chai tea Lattes. I made about three yesterday, had them all...

The 'Magda Latte'
was created by myself, and fellow co-workers at work yesterday. It was intentionally a prank (during my training session) where we mixed the most horrendous things together, told everyone it was a dark cherry mocha, and served it off to them. Unfortunately, they all seemed to like it, and nicknamed it the ‘Magda Latte.’  I advise you all go to your nearest Starbucks and ask for: ...

I need a new backpack
and what a difficult mission it is to find one. I don’t even have a price limit-and it’s still near impossible! I have been on Etsy for a good hour so far, and no luck.

Etsy
So I had finally received my package a few days ago-and what beautiful item it was! Unfortunately, the shipping was horrible, and for how much I payed, 3 weeks was quite ridiculous (It was a necklace coming from Las vegas!)  Finally when I had received the product it was time to give feedback. I gave them a ‘neutral’ and explained that the product was beautiful but the customer...

One of the best
feelings in the world has to be that of recognition. I was at work today, and a song came on that I hadn’t heard in months. I was tapping my feat, jammin’ a bit, and started to pick up the words. And then in an instant, the song named flashed in my head. And I was like, Oh yeah! Bitch, pwned. I just felt like I had pwned the song. Good feeling.

Tattoo legend
Horihide, complains about the decline in tattoo artists who “do their tattoos by hand.” Doing some research, I was able to scratch up an article about Thai Buddhists, in which many still continue this tradition today. A interesting point that I came across read as;  “Unlike Western style tattooing traditional Thai tattoos are done using hand tools and don’t use the same...

liked my photo. Why is today made of win. Note: Statement, not question. I accept, I don’t question. Notex2: Emoticons have evolved so much over the years, that I have a strange standard when using them. For example, I think it is very 2005 to use “=” as a set of eyes. When people do this I feel awkward, and want to sign them up for a computer course. It’s like you know,...

Another
glorious day at work! Today I learned how to work the register, how to scream at incompetent computer training programs, and what hot coffee feels like on my hand! It still surprises me that I am getting paid for what I do. Hang out with really cool people, play with whipped cream, and watch the sun set/rise through our huge windows.  Note: The one thing I have to remember is to call out the...

It's nice
to be in a new environment. Starbucks, being quite snobby, only sells the Globe and Mail. Forcing me to read, making me learn new words, causing me to be knowledgeable about political matters, and causing me to have a slight liberal outlook. I am being forced to be snobby and a badass. Nice.

Another
wonderful morning at work! 5:30 a.m.  Dany, director, and actor. Carl, super sleek brownie. Talking to me about finances, politics, and the Canadian dollar. Start the morning with an espresso and bits of lemon raspberry loaf.  Love. My. Job.

Fail
The built-in mouse on my imac doesn’t work. This is freaking me out. I did not pay so much for this damn laptop for the mouse to break in a few months. I am hoping if I leave it alone it will fix itself. Please, please, please.

Work
My previous manager has called me 11 times today. I refuse to pick up. I have concluded that she is probably not congratulating me on my new job/wishing me luck.
